Greenlight Laser Prostatectomy is used to treat Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as Benign Prostate Enlargement (BPE).  Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) refers to the continued growth of the Prostate gland present in the male reproductive system. In later stages, enlarged prostate or BPH may cause inability to steep through the night without getting up often to urinate, difficulty in starting urine stream ,complete inability to urinate, dribbling after urination ends , frequent urge to urinate and in some cases may also cause blood in the urine .  BPH is not a disease but a function of age. That means that all men will eventually develop BPH as they grow older, especially men over 50 years of age.

Greenlight Laser Prostatectomy treatment is one of the advanced treatment options available at our network urology hospitals in India for the treatment of BPH. In a Greenlight Laser Prostatectomy, the urologist passes a telescopic camera into the penis and the internal surface of the prostate visualized. The GreenLight laser beam is then directed onto the prostate surface and the tissue is vaporized. GreenLight Laser vaporization is continued until all obstructing prostate tissue has been removed. A small plastic tube is inserted into the bladder at the end of the procedure. This is left in place overnight only. In a Greenlight Laser Prostatectomy treatment there is no blood loss.  It requires a shorter hospital stay and the recovery is quicker. Our network urology hospitals in India have advanced Laser which is the fastest and safest laser available in the world. The urologists at these hospitals have vast experience in performing laser urology procedures.
